  • Lastly, it is more convenient to use it as part of this recipe because it saves you cooking the salmon before adding it to the patty mixture. There is no need to cook canned salmon separately, saving you both time and effort.

Salmon patties recipe

Ingredients

  • One can salmon
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • ½ cup dry whole wheat white bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt
  • 1-2 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil (for cooking the patties)
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  • Take a large mixing bowl and lightly beat the egg in it.
  • Then add the drained salmon, Greek yogurt, bread crumbs, Dijon, cayenne, garlic and onion powder, and white vinegar. Use a fork to mix and further break up the salmon. Once done, gently stir in the parsley.
  • Next, scoop the mixture into 1/3 cupfuls and shape it into patties.
  • Now, take a sturdy-bottomed skillet, add the olive oil, and put it over medium heat.
  • Use a spatula to flip the patties gently and cook them until they reach a deep golden brown color.
